At around 8:00 am, Dan, Nuria, and I started this hike. We picked it because it was easy (3.5 miles). Twice before I have seen Annette Lake from Silver Peak. So there was an advantage to see Silver Peak from Annette Lake.

This hike is mostly a shaded nature hike. To be honest, I was not overly impressed by the scenery or the lake itself. As always, the company was fun and the exercise was good, so the hike was positive.

This week Isis stayed at home and we brought Nuria's Akita Tasha on the hike. Tasha is a big bear really. She is friendly and playful. I think she might have been a little upset with Nuria for making her walk 7 miles. When we got back to the trucks, Tasha layed down behine Nuria's SUV and would not get up to play with me. She was pooped. I bet she slept good that night!

The only thing to note on the fun side was that at the beginning of the hike Nuria and I were arguing about the middle east and Israel when a guy came up behind us and told us we were both wrong. He and Nuria began to argue about their position and Nuria sped up to his pace. Dan and I lagged behind. I believe it took five minutes before Nuria noticed and waited for us.
