The weather was supposed to be nice, so Cathy and I decided to take a hike on Bandera Mountain. The weather was not so nice. It was cold. It rained, hailed, and snowed on us at one time or another. My view of the hike can best be summed up with the last picture. It had been raining/hailing sideways on us down the steep mountain face. We get back to the Mason Lake trail where it is far less steep and the rain stops and the sun comes out. A few hundred yards farther down the trail we came across two men going up to Bandera. They told us that they saw the storm front coming in "hunkered down in the trees until it passed". I got perverse pleasure in the fact that 30 minutes later, when they would have been completely exposed on the mountain, it began pouring on us and therefore hailing sideways on them. Thank God we were hunkered down in the trees. muhahahahaha
