Twin Lakes

This was supposed to be the Cold Creek - Silver Peak Loop but the rain just kept pounding down on me the entire time. I have a movie of the rain below. I wear waterproof boots and the water ran down my legs to my socks and were wicked down into my boots. I learned that water proof boots are also water tight boots.

I hoped the rain would end and pushed on to the Pacific Crest Trail, but then a cold breeze hit me. I had had enough, turned around and went back to the car. When I got there, I took off my boots and dumped the water out, wrang out my socks as though they had been in a bucket of water and drove home.

To add insult to injury, the rain was only on the cascade crest. The way home was sunny. Had I picked a hike farther west, I would have had a wonderful day. *sigh*
